for asking me to review QMed LINKS: General Medicine. It is simply amazing. It
is the long awaited solution for the medical fraternity in India. At last medicos
in India will be able to surf the web for relevant information and updates, without
sifting through thousands of pages picked up by search engines. More and
more physicians are turning to the net, mainly for regular updates and to face
patients armed with latest information. The time taken to search the web page
needed has been the main deterrent for net usage, and QMed LINKS comes virtually
like a “My Favourites” folder. I am
sure QMed LINKS will soon be the ubiquitous part of a physician’s CME with
the needed information just a click away. I suggest that for the
Family Physician module, in addition to the sub topics already covered, please
add one on laboratory investigations – both for diagnosis and monitoring.
You must also give links on home care as practiced in west. QMed may ultimately
change the mindset from just a GP to a true Family Physician – offering
world class services. Wishing you all the success, QMed rightfully deserves.
